because I am not afraid of falling into my inkpot.”

– Ralph Waldo Emerson

Welcome! I’m Megan Pincus Kajitani (mpk). Seasoned writer and editor -- with a dash of teacher/trainer, a splash of career coach and a few drops of academic.

For me, my “ink” is symbolic for my voice, be it written or spoken. My mission is to use my “ink” to help create a kinder and healthier planet.

As a writer, my non-fiction work has appeared in books, newspapers and magazines, including Mothering Magazine, The Chronicle of Higher Education, The Huffington Post, Inside Higher Ed, Writer Mama Zine, Gazette Newspapers, Sunshine/Noir and Mama, PhD. I blogged for four years at “Having Enough (In a ‘Have-It-All’ World).” Now I write a column called Conscious Carlsbad for AOL's Patch.

I also specialize in editing non-fiction books, and have freelance story-edited for the best-selling Daring Book for Girls series, among other titles.

As an educator/trainer, I have taught and presented at universities and conferences, and I am evolving to bring workshops focused on bettering the world to myriad venues and communities.
